I just bought a High Index-Photochromic SV- Transition lenses ( prescription ones), named ';EPIC Silver';, and they told me that the lenses would be as clear as regular ones, when in the dark or in absence of sunlight, but I noticed they always stay a little bit darker than ';clear-clear';! Is that right?!Aren't transition lenses(with prescription) supposed to be as clear as regular prescription lenses?!?
you said you have high-index transition lenses? How high is your perscription? I know that sometimes has a little to do with how fast the lenses change color. Also I've seen transition lenses slow down because of the temperature (extreme cold) but I'd give them some time. It takes a little time to ';break them in'; If you still have this problem take them back to the optical you got them from. Also, don't expect the lenses to work like sunglasses in the car. Car windows filter UV, and it's the UV that causes the lenses to darken! I hope this helps!Aren't transition lenses(with prescription) supposed to be as clear as regular prescription lenses?!?
I love my transition lenses, but they do have a slight tint all the time, as the years go on they will gradually remain darker.
