Plus I have a couple lenses (zoom and wide angle) but I was wondering about another one I've seen on others camera. It's quite large in diameter, do you what this lens is?Camera lenses. Everyone else's pictures seem so clear and mine don't, what are some reasons?
There are a lot of reasons your photos might not look as clear as others, without seeing your photos, the photos you're comparing them to, and your equipment, it's impossible to say for sure. Some reasons for ';unclear'; photos might be:
1) lower quality lens -- this is unlikely, since generally even a ';bad lens'; will get you a sharp image, especially if you're not making big prints from it
2) grain/noise-- Smaller image sensors and higher ISOs produce noisier images, which affects the clarity of the image.
3) light/exposure -- underexposed images often look muddy, and if the lighting is bad they may also look flat and murky
4) photoshop -- contrast adjustments and ';sharpening'; effects can also make an image look ';clearer.';
5) focus problems/ slow shutter speeds -- you may actually have trouble getting a focused, sharp image. Sometimes cameras have trouble with autofocus in low light, or if you're using slower shutter speeds with moving subjects (or a slow enough shutter speed that it's recording your own slight movements), these will reduce the clarity
and re: the lens you've seen, it really isn't possible to tell from your description, lots of different lenses have similar physical appearances
