I don't seem to have luck with Coopervision contacts. Doctor says I have astigmatism and Acuvue doesn't make a contact with the power I need and Coopervision's the leader in toric lenses. In other words my power is too high for Acuvue. Always feel I need my glasses for clearer, sharper vision, but I really want to wear contacts.I've been having problems seeing clearer and/or sharper with contact lenses, should I see a different doctor?
YOU MUST TAKE ANOTHER OPINION. MAY BE THAT THE FIRST DIAGNOSIS WAS WRONGI've been having problems seeing clearer and/or sharper with contact lenses, should I see a different doctor?
If you have very high astigmatism, soft contacts will rarely give the quality of vision that you can get from glasses. What usually works better is an RGP (hard contacts) which will often give better vision than both soft contacts and glasses. You just have to get used to them.
