Can I leave my contact lenses in the clear care solution for more than 8 hrs?

I have and it seemed just fine. On the website, it says you can leave them in the case for up to seven days. So, 8 hours should be just fine!Can I leave my contact lenses in the clear care solution for more than 8 hrs?
I have before and it has never hurt them. If you want to be for sure just ask your eye doctor and see what they say.
