I use clear (transparent) contact lens with different prescriptions. My right eye is 200, while the left is 175. However, sometimes I get confuse and swap the lens.
Is there a way to tell which is which? Are there indications or marks to tell them apart? How can you tell the difference between a pair of clear contact lens?
Well there is no exact indication of which one is which. The only way you can tell is through the way it feels in your eyes. If you think that one seems to be weaker for your eyes, then you might want to switch them around to see if it works better that way. I highly suggest you to use Alcon brand lens case. I have been testing with different cases I have and I think that those are the best ones so far. The reason is because the case has a green cap on the right side with an imprinted ';R'; and a white one on the left that says Alcon. To ensure that you have the right lens on the correct side, the bottom of the case has an imprinted ';R'; to tell that it is the right side. Even if you mix up the caps, the ';R'; would tell you that the specific one is for the right. If you tend to mix up the caps, then I would suggest you to put one lens in at a time. I hope that this would help you!How can you tell the difference between a pair of clear contact lens?
There is no way to tell once you have them out of their packages. Make sure you are putting them in the correct sides of your contact case when you take them out. I have really bad eyes, and have found it helpful to use a case that has a green cover for my left lens and a white cover for my right lens. That way even in my blindness, I can tell which side is which in the event the case gets moved.
no
Once they're out of the package, there's really no way to tell which one is which if you do that. When that happens, the best thing to do is to go to a new pair of lenses because if you wear the wrong one in the wrong eye for an extended period of time, it will affect your vision later on.
