P.S. I really compared them carefully, and they are as clear as the other. They both gave me the same fantastic clear vison. Why does a plano contact lens as clear as -1.00 prescription lens when i wear them?
The reason why this happens is:
1) Your prescription is not particularly strong. You do have a bit of astigmatism (-1.00), but your actual near correction ( the other -1.00) is not what an optician would call ';strong';. You probably prefer seeing the world with your lenses on, but can function very well without them I imagine.
2) You have astigmatism. Your eye is football shaped, as opposed to more round shape, like a basketball. This means your contact sits on your eye with the centers resting more on the point of your eye than on the edges. Your prescription lenses take this into account and are curved -1.00 diopters to account for this. When you put them on, your eye becomes essentially round, and you see great.
3) Your plano contacts do not have the curve of your prescription lenses, and they sit more on the point of your eye, BUT, your tears fill in the spaces between the contact and your eye, artificially giving you a perfectly round surface again. You therefore see basically the same, or better, than you do with your prescription lenses!
Voila, THAT is why you see clear with both. In one case its the plastic of the prescription lens taking care of your astigmatism, in the other its the action of your tears accomplishing basically the same thing.
